History The history of Lieblang Leather Lieblang Leather has been in business for 20 years at 607 Main Street in Delafield WI. Initially, Lieblang Leather started out as a small leather repair shop. Even before then, however, the Lieblang's were into leather repair. Judy Lieblang started sewing when she was only 10 years old. Since then, Judy has taken tailoring courses in 4-H when she was young, and in college when she was growing up. Sewing has always been a passion for Judy. It was this passion that eventually lead her to specialize in sewing leather. Initially, Lieblang Leather just made leather garments when special ordered by their customers, preferring to stick to leather repair. However, 9 years ago, they went into manufacturing leather garments and now do around 90 percent of their business by selling leather clothing and accessories. Quality gets noticed. When you do good work, people notice. Lieblang Leather has manufactured leather jackets for Lands End. They also custom made a leather jacket with the layout of the golf course on the leather jacket for the owner of the Lake Park Golf Course in Mequon, Wisconsin. So what started out as a simple leather repair shop has grown to be a large custom leather manufacturer with an variety of accessories including belts, duffle bags, sweaters, gloves, wallets, purses, slacks, and scarves. While Lieblang Leather has a wide variety of ready made leather garments and accessories, they are also able to custom tailor leather garment in about any color/shade desired So, how does Lieblang Leather make their quality products? By starting with quality supplies, like lambskin and cowhide, rather than pigskin. Then, the proper tanning process will make these leathers soft and supple. Finally, the skins are sewn by skilled tailors in Wisconsin (USA) according to the designers' spec's. It's like they say, quality in, quality out.
